Courage to Resist needs your help, talents, skills, and some of your time!

Want to help end the war? Courage to Resist invites you to join us in supporting the troops who are refusing to fight.

Volunteer open office hours, every week:
Wednesday afternoon: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
If you can’t make either of those, we would still love to sit down with you when you are available and talk about the project, and how you want to plug in. Here are a few roles we need help with.

Office administrative support
We can always use help with thank you cards, data entry, shipping materials, making phone calls, etc. The behind the scenes work that helps keep it all together!

Event tabling and outreach
Help spread the word about Courage to Resist and the courageous individuals within the military who are in various ways taking a stand against the war by helping have a presence at local events. It’s also a great way to meet and hang out with other Courage to Resist members.

Internet research
No need to be in the SF Bay Area for this one. Help us develop our forthcoming resister profile page currently under construction. Also, we are currently compiling articles and statistics related to military service, veterans and active duty soldiers speaking out, going AWOL, conscientious objection, veterans healthcare, military recruiting, military policy changes, etc.

Leaflet, posters, brochures, short educational and entertaining videos

Grant writers

Fundraisers and house party hosts

Artists and musicians

The Courage to Resist office is located at 3945 Opal Street, Oakland. It’s at the corner of 40th Street near Broadway. It’s only a ten minute walk towards the hills from MacArthur BART.
