The “Peace Corner”

US Army Lieutenant Ehren Watada is the first commissioned officer to
publicly refuse deployment to Iraq. For refusing to participate in an
illegal and immoral war, Lt. Watada is facing 6 years in prison and a
military court martial.
Patriots For Peace join the AFSC, Military Families Speak Out, Gold Star
Families For Peace, and Veterans For Peace in support of Lt. Watada’s
right to stand up and speak out for his principals, for the rule of
international law and the U.S. Constitution. We salute his courageous
moral leadership and stand in solidarity with him as he faces a court
martial for following his conscience.
Supporters are asked to write Lt. General James Dubik, Commanding
General Fort Lewis, 1 Corps Building 2025 Stop 1, Fort Lewis WA 98433.
Please request that General Dubik* “Dismiss all charges and honor Lt.
Watada’s long-standing resignation from the U.S. Army.”
Ask Rep. Dave Weldon *(202)-225-3671* and Senator Nelson * (202)
224-5274 *to do the same.
