“Chelsea was released on March 12, 2020. She has been resting and trying to recover from being held in jail for almost a full year for resisting a grand jury subpoena … Chelsea has been taking some time to rest and recover, and is not planning any public appearances for the foreseeable future. She is staying indoors and safe and is hoping you do the same.”

This summer, we are once again marching in celebration of our heroic US Army WikiLeaks whistle-blower Chelsea Manning in Gay Pride events across the United States.
But there is another question I’ve been asked nearly as much, “why are you making this request of the Leavenworth district court.
I would like to thank all of you for your support. Without your efforts–including organizing, fundraising, and public education–my court martial would not have been nearly as visible to the public.

Events will include Q&A with Mr. Coombs, and a fund pitch by the Support Network to benefit Pvt. Manning’s ongoing defense efforts, including pending legal appeals.
I wanted to witness the court-martial for myself and more clearly understand the case and the support campaign developed around it.
