By Courage to Resist.  December 1, 2015

Recently we introduced supporters to US Army Spc. Robert Weilbacher, a medic stationed in South Korea.  For two years, Robert fought the military’s bureaucracy for a discharge as a Conscientious Objector (CO), and was facing possible prosecution after the Army granted him a CO status, but later rescinded the ruling.

We are happy to share that Robert is now a free man, enjoying his new life as a civilian peace activist.  With the help of the ACLU and Courage to Resist, Robert recently received an Administrative Honorable Discharge.

Robert travelled to the Veterans for Peace National Convention in San Diego (photo by Jeff Paterson) in August, and just returned from the School of the Americans Watch vigil at Fort Benning, Georgia, last week.
