"Without the help of Courage to Resist, I would have never been able to speak out. They gave me a voice, and helped me realize that I was not alone in my thoughts about the war."

After one deployment to Iraq from March 2003 to March 2004, I found that I was absolutely against the war and would not return. So I made the decision to go AWOL and speak out against the war in Iraq.

Without the help of Courage to Resist, I would have never been able to speak out. They gave me a voice, and helped me realize that I was not alone in my thoughts about the war. They linked me up with past and current resisters, and helped me to make more informed decisions concerning my turning myself in. They helped me pay for a legal defense, and they helped to bring attention to an issue larger than just me resisting--that was the war in Iraq.

Please continue to show support for this organization. They are pivotal in ending this war.

Aiding resistors = Stopping this war!
